A quarter of a pound of butter, a quarter of a pound of castor sugar,one lemon peel (grated), half a tea-spoonful of baking powder. Mix well, then add half a pound of flour and one egg (well beaten). Roll out, and cut in rounds, not too thick. Put half a glazed cherry on each. Bake to a light (2)
