Coffee and fruit recipe.
Mix half a pint of strong coffee with one pint of custard, sweeten with five ounces of sugar, let it get cold, then freeze in the usual way. Make a wall of ice-cream in a glass dish, fill up the middle with mixed fruit and put whipped cream on top.
Strawberry Sherbet Recipe.
Mash enough strawberries to make one pint of juice, add one pound of sugar, allow to stand until the sugar is dissolved. Then add the juice of one lemon and water to taste. Add juice after straining through fine muslin, and add more sugar if necessary.
